Say Their Names was a large-scale projection installation that covered the facade of New York’s Public Theater in 2020. It was the culmination of several months of collaboration among freelance designers, independent artists, and staff at The Public Theater who worked together to memorialize Black lives lost to police violence. Running more than five and half hours, the projections included the names of more than 2,100 individuals killed by police between 2013 and 2020, along with specific details about their lives and deaths.
