Say Their Names was a large-scale projection installation that covered the facade of New York’s historic Public Theater. It was the culmination of several months of collaboration among freelance designers, independent artists, and staff at The Public who worked together to memorialize Black lives lost to police violence. Running more than five and half hours, the projections included the names of more than 2,100 individuals killed by police since 2013, along with specific details about their lives and deaths.
